Lubunga en Rés[eau] “Réseau“ means network, a structure in which all the elements participating are interconnected. A net is also a tool, the tool for the fishermen to catch the prey of the day. Lubunga en Rés(eau) is an exhibition that tries to capture Lubunga from three different angles (spatial, narrative, and scientific); it is the flowing presentation of an ongoing research project on water. It is a net to continue capturing impressions, beauties, desires, and stories of this place. The installation consists of portraits, maps, drawings, stories, statistics, and scientific findings, among other elements. The elements are displayed as clouds of condensation--a metaphor for the urban density of the place in Lubunga that we are referring to. It is an abstract mapping of the reflections on Lubunga.
Lubunga en Rés(eau) est une structure dans laquelle tous les éléments participants sont interconnectés. Un réseau – du latin retiolus, diminutif de retis qui signifie filet – est également un outil, un outil pour le pêcheur qui saisit sa proie dans son filet. Lubunga en Rés(eau) est une exposition qui cherche à saisir Lubunga sous trois angles différents (spatial, narratif et scientifique). C’est la représentation fluide d’un projet de recherche en cours sur l’eau. Un filet pour attraper les impressions, beautés, désirs et histoires de cette commune, ponctué de portraits, cartes, dessins, histoires, statistiques et analyses scientifiques... Les éléments sont présentés comme des nuages de condensation – une métaphore de la densité urbaine de Lubunga. Lubunga en Rés(eau) se veut une cartographie abstraite de notre regard et de nos réflexions sur Lubunga.
