Guabuliga’s founding myth-the well by the thorn tree-has been the starting point for coming up with contextual but novel spatial and programmatic scenarios for the growing village. Directly after an initial fieldwork phase in Guabuliga and a presentation in the village itself, and right before returning to Vienna to further the work in progress, the wish was to present and share the first concepts and findings in Accra. There could not be a more powerful exhibition setting than a tree: freestanding in Nubuke Foundation'sgarden, a widely visible Indian Almond tree housed diagrams, drawings, and photos, pinned on hanging boards. Digital presentations were enclosed in installative structures and objects hanging from the stronger branches of the tree.
